Llanbedr to Borth
Woke up in the morning not feeling the best. Went down to have a cup of tea. Definitely not feeling well. Not to go into the gory details, but the tea did not settle. Went back to bed and staff at hostel kindly allowed me to stay there (should have vacated by ten). Not sure what the cause of illness was but probably combination of fatigue, heat and bug. Rang NHS help line for help (Now officially known as "State the bleeding obvious" Helpline. "Really, go see a doctor or local chemist, very helpful, I would never have thought of that" Grrrrrr!!!!). Made the decision to pack up the car and drive to Borth (as we had already booked room) as I had continued making dashes to the toilet to use the big white telephone all morning) The journey was constantly interrupted to let me examine the fauna at the sides of the road. At Borth Dawn got me some medicine to stop the sickness and left me in the room to sleep. Eddies sister Cath, husband Kevin and children Jo Jo, Elly and Rosa had come up to Borth to meet us. Dawn, Cath and the Kids went for a swim and the water must have been cold as I could hear their screams even under my duvet. They had a lovely tea of Leek and Potato Soup, Lasagne and Cake.
